What: APL Astronomy Club monthly meeting
Where: Gibson Library room L-2
When: Wednesday, Oct. 17, noon to 1:00 pm
This month’s topics: “Recent discoveries of double asteroids and double stars by asteroid occultation” by club member Steve Conard. Steve will finally talk to us about the possible satellite for 911 Agamemnon! Also some club business and members’ observing reports.
Open to anyone with an interest in astronomy.

Fall Star Party: Friday, Oct. 19 (rain date Nov. 16)

Next meeting, Ron will demonstrate how to set up and use the Lunt solar telescope.
Dec. meeting, Dave will talk about the Astronomical League observing clubs.
Dave Vashelz says he’d like to talk about astronomical applications in Mathematica some day (January??)
Dan volunteered to try to get the APL observatory folks to pay for a Clear Dark Sky web site.
